Chapter 89
Delaney
I couldn't turn my gaze away from my parents, even when they were locked in a deep, passionate kiss. It was one of those moments where something is right in front of you, but you can't believe that it's actually there. It felt as if I was watching stars realigning right before my eyes.
"Kai, Ronan, care to explain?" My dad added after pulling from the kiss, his eyes changing colour. I couldn't imagine what it felt like for both of them, for their wolves to reunite after such a long time.
"You never stopped being demanding." My mom giggled, cupping his cheek.
"And you haven't stopped being beautiful, Seraphina," my dad whispered, leaning his face into her touch like it was the first touch of light he'd experienced for years. I didn't know I was crying until Kai wiped the moisture from my face with his thumb.
