"Don't let what the dark witch said bother you," Elias said as we walked into the mansion. "I'm sure she is trying to play with your mind and emotions."
"As much as that is bothering me, what I am confused about is how the burns on her body just disappeared," I revealed, the smell of chicken and roasted potatoes hitting me on my nose. My mouth watered, while my stomach rumbled at that minute.
Then my mom appeared from the corridor that led to the kitchen, her eyes lighting up when she saw us. "Ah, you are back right on time for dinner." She was all smiles, wiping her hands over her apron. "Wait here while I set the table." She pointed at the couches, then turned to leave, but stopped after a few steps as I eyed the staircase.
"Don't even try going to your room," she warned, turning to look at me.
