Faye’s POV
Every day I was away from my partner, I felt like my insides were slowly burning. I felt like my desire to be close to Owen was taking over my mind and making me pretend to be by his side again.
I threw myself into training for the first few days. I was the leader of my pack and had to take care of them. When I made dinner at night, I made sure my younger siblings were nice to each other. I missed my family and packed more than I could ever say, but I also missed my mate. I didn’t know which one I should choose.
Maddox and Alex seemed to be fighting about something, Caius and Chris were over their anger, and our mom seemed distant and full of guilt, leaving little Rosie to keep the peace around the house. Even though she was only eight, she knew how to work the room. She would jump from one brother to the next to make them do anything she wanted, even get along with each other.
