“Thanks to the gods!” Faye yelled and jumped into my arms.

“Sorry, I was late. I thought I would never get away from your brother’s anger and Finn trying to stick to my hip. We have to move quickly, and you can’t leave Owen’s side until you get back home.

Faye, promise me!”

“The only place I want to be is on Owen’s side. Thank you Elise, my Queen. I know it’s stupid, but I have to see him.”

I looked at her with a puzzled look on my face. She seemed to want to be with him so badly that I wasn’t sure if that was normal. They were meant to be together, but they didn’t complete the bond. She hadn’t marked him yet, and even if she had, it would still be hard, but not impossible, for them to be apart.
