Chapter 6. Lucky Day

She shoved him away. “I wasn’t kidnapped, and this man saved my life when Rogues tried to kill me. Let him pass. Now!”

“Of course, princess,” Owen said to her as he bowed his head.

“What in the fuck did he just say?” I asked, standing still. Was I also a liar? Was Elise really her name? Is she the princess or not?

“What in the fuck are you doing, Elise?” As another walked out of the trees, his Alpha voice boomed out. Clearly, a weak Alpha trying to use what little power he has.

“Fuck!” When Elise turned around and looked him in the eye, she let out. “I’m doing whatever I want, just like you,” she said. She threw up in his face.

There was a lot of tension between the two of them. I knew she wanted to hurt the boy from Owen, but she wanted to kill Alpha. He grabbed her arm so hard that it hurt and got in her face. Before he could say anything, I snarled and shoved him off of her.

“Don’t ever grab her like that again, you little wolf.” This time, I u
