Chapter 76. Lost

Owen’s POV

After Elise woke up, I watched her dance with Finn. I could already feel the tension between them. He wasn't her boyfriend, which made me sigh deeply. I didn't want her anymore, but Finn wasn't the right person for her. I would still do whatever it took to protect my Queen.

I made her dance with me without her permission, and we laughed at how close we really were. I'd forgotten how easy it was to be myself around Elise and how much she made me feel like I was at home.

I hadn't touched my mate's skin in hours, and now I was dying for her. I was drinking a few beers with Kalix and Chris at the bar, and all the girls who kept coming up to us were getting on my nerves. Chris and Kalix were trying to avoid a tall, blonde she-wolf who was trying to meet her needs, so I decided to leave.

“I'll see you again later. Have fun, but don't have too much." I gave my brother a hug and gave Chris a wave as I left.
