Elise’s POV
I knew he was still with me when I woke up and smelled sandalwood and fresh rain. My head rubbed against his chest and worked its way up to the crook of his neck. Even though it was a common way for wolves to show affection, I didn’t feel the need to do it very often. I’ve never been kissed by anyone except Sia. Well, no one but Sia before I met Caius.
He ran his fingers along the curves of my body in a soft way. In each other’s arms, we felt how whole we made each other. “Good morning, princess,” he said in a voice that made me feel cold. I was sure that no matter how he felt, he would always be hot.
I smiled and said, “Good morning, Alpha.” We both changed to fit each other, wrapping our bodies around each other. I could lie here for the rest of my life and feel like I had a full life.
