Carlos could not believe it—how could he have been so blind? How could he have ever thought that she was on his side? He wondered if her time to stay here was running out because she was obviously becoming anxious. She was not even hiding her evil intentions anymore.

The one suggestion she could come up with to tackle the possibility of the super consortium being swallowed was for them to purposefully not win the Estrella auction.
