Chapter 180. One Down

Carlos ignored Dolores yet again. He had let his thoughts on the whole thing known to Stones but he had still not found a permanent solution to the problem. He drove on and got home. He had dinner and sat with one of the other executives of the shipping business who was also deep into the super consortium’s affairs. They sat at the balcony and discussed business opportunities and risks and gains and losses until Carlos’s head swam with disjointed words.

It was almost midnight when they wrapped up and the man was about to leave when someone walked unto the balcony, whispered into the Alfred’s ears and proceeded to walk towards Carlos. It got Carlos’s attention because normally, any messages would be relayed to Carlos through Alfred or Clark. When Carlos looked up and saw that it was actually one of Juan’s underlings he knew that it would be important.
