Chapter 229. Before Things Get Ugly
Fiona fidgeted and bit her lip. “It’s confidential,” she said because she wanted to use the opportunity to see Carlos and hear his voice.
The girl snorted. “Yeah right.”
“You have to tell him,” Fiona insisted and the girl nodded.
“Of course,” the girl then looked outside and nodded at a pair of men standing guard that Fiona hadn’t even noticed. “In the meantime, we can’t have you wondering the house. You understand right?”
The men came up to her and she raised her hands in a peaceful gesture and allowed herself to be taken away. “You’ll tell him right?” She asked again and the girl nodded solemnly.
Two weeks later and nothing happened.
Fiona knew that it wouldn’t be easy so she didn’t let it get to her. As long as he was safe, as long as she knew that he was safe, she was fine.
