Chapter 244. A Meeting Like This
He got timely reports of how often she cried herself to sleep, of the times she screamed and hit herself over and over against the bars and begin to be let out for just a little bit. He had been terrified when they told him that she had closed up at some point and wouldn’t speak or do anything at all. They said she just sat there in the corner.
He had been scared that he had gone too far when he heard that news. But she never attempted to hurt herself. No matter how she was able to stomach, she always tried to eat more and then he’d always thought that she was a really good spy or not a spy at all.
