Chapter 245. The Man in Black Is Not Coming Back
Clark and Alfred stood behind him evidently happy to be back where they belonged. He could practically feel the smugness coming off them.
His jacket was draped over the back of his seat. He was looking through his phone when people started trickling in. He carefully placed the phones on the table and rolled up his sleeves, exposing the scars and the tattoo on his forearm. He casually avoided the gazes of the people that walked in and openly stared at him.
Eventually the room was full and the man of the hour strolled in. Carlos felt it when the man walked through the door and he made sure to stare up and catch his eyes. He drank in the horror that filled the man’s eyes and allowed his trademark smile to spread slowly and broadly across his face like spilt wine over white cloth.
“What are you doing here?” The man asked, not even hiding his hostility and discomfort. His guards already had their hands at the holsters and Clark and Alfred were ready as well.
