Chapter 5
Approaching his house, Alistair noticed the lights on and realized that his mother was at home, and this meant only one thing: now he would be forced to start a difficult conversation.
The boy opened the door. He looked to his left, his mother was sipping wine from a glass while watching one of her favorite shows.
“Hi, Mom.”
“Son, you’re back.” Mom answered rather sublimely. It was obvious that she was in a good mood today.
“Yes ...” Al began exhaling. “Mom ... I found out everything about myself. Why didn’t you warn me that I would be like my father? You definitely knew about it.”
It seemed that Mary had become pale. A single tear started rolling down her face.
“No need to cry, mom… Everything is fine…” Al tried to calm his mom down.
“Alistair... We have to move out. Now.” Mary maintained. “They will come. Sooner or later they will come for you. We are leaving.”
