Kiara's POV

I drove nervously around town, Eric and I have been having issues. The only thing that has been keeping me sane now are my frequent evening rides around the town. 

I thought mates were supposed to be the best things in each other's lives. I had complained to Eric that he was stalling on making our mating official. 

Every time I brought up the topic of us settling down, it was either he joked his way out of it or he ignored me altogether. I was getting exhausted from taking the relationship too seriously all by myself. 

Eric used to be so obsessed and in love with me. He traveled for his family business for two weeks and when he got back, he had changed into an entirely different person. All attempts to get through to him emotionally have been met with disappointing unresponsiveness.
