Savannah’s POV
“What are we gonna do about this war?”
I swallow hard at the mention of that word.
Is there really gonna be a war? Because of me?
“I don’t know yet, but the good thing is that we might have some time,” Logan replies.
“How so?”
“Carter knew we took her. He’s not dumb enough to believe that she can escape on her own, taking down more than ten people. But knowing that, he hasn’t tried to contact us yet. Which means…?”
“He doesn’t want word to spread,” Harlan deduces. “He’s counting his moves just like we are.”
“Now if you’re Carter Hanson, what would you do next?” Logan asks, and the two of them look like they’re deep in thought.
They’re not saying things out loud, but I can still hear their minds.
Maybe he’s taking his time to gather an army before going out to storm our territory. Which is gonna be bad for the pack. They don’t know anything about what we’re doing. — Logan thinks.
