Chapter 19. He Could Not Believe

“Where are you fool?” a deep voice sounded over the phone.

Thomas froze. What’s going on?

“What’s wrong? Hope I am safe.”

“You are not, Thomas. Where is Anita?”

“Anita?” he asked back, rubbing his head. He was not ready for such a conversation.

“Where else? She should be at her working place. I’m not going to be walking around her like a puppet right?”

“Shut up! Call her now and check up on her. Something doesn’t seem right.”

“Since you know what is wrong? Why don’t you tell me?”

“Since you want to know, I will tell you. She is in the hands of another man. You better be careful, so as not to lose her,” the man said and ended the call, leaving Thomas in unexplainable emotions.

Thomas didn’t care about what was on the desk anymore. Picking up his car key, he stood up and walked out of his office.
