Chapter 24

Luke’s pov 

  We returned to the pack, exhausted but determined. Our parents were already there, discussing the situation with the other pack members.

  "I think we should split our pack into smaller groups and patrol the surrounding areas," my father suggested. "We need to catch these rogues off guard and take them down before they can do any more harm."

  I nodded in agreement. "I think that's a good idea, father. But we also need to come up with a plan to protect Carrie. She's the key to this whole thing."

  Carrie looked up at me, her eyes still flashing with anger. "I don't need protection," she growled. "I can take care of myself."

  But I knew that wasn't true. The rogues were too strong, too cunning. She needed our help to stay safe. Even if she was powerful and able to beat anyone down. We still needed to protect her as she got used to her powers and understood them better.
