Chapter 44
"Alright, I will visit the mansion again to see if any changes need to be made," Azalea replied in a mumble. She was distracted by Orion's statement, which made her uneasy. She leaned against the wall and bit down on her lip as she spoke.
"Is everything okay? You don't sound okay," Jared asked, concerned.
"Huh? Nothing, I was just thinking about other things. Everything is okay," she replied.
"Okay, if you say so," he said, and they ended the call. Azalea took a deep breath, plucked the phone off her ear, and stared at its screen for a while before she pulled away from the wall. She straightened up, but then her shoulder brushed against someone, causing her to jump and throw herself back against the wall to create distance between them. She turned around to find Orion standing there with a plain look on his face. Instantly, she felt apologetic and spoke.
