Chapter 28. Warm Embrace

Lola’s heart raced, and panic gripped her as she tried to recall the latest memory. The realization hit her like a tidal wave, and she took a step back, her eyes widening in disbelief. She couldn’t bring herself to say it aloud, the memory of their intimate moment lingering in her mind.

Edgar noticed her panic, “Gentlemen, allow us a moment”

“Yes, Lord” Jimmy and Vlad left the study in no time. And Lola swallowed hard as she looked at Edgar in worry.

“I... I remember... we... we kissed,” she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.

Edgar’s eyes widened briefly before he composed himself, a mixture of surprise and concern flickering across his face. He took a deep breath, his voice steady as he responded, “Yes, Lola, we shared a moment. It was very sweet to be forgotten.”

“I... I am sorry my lord! I can’t even recall why I did it!” Lola cried “It was as if I was drunk! You showed me goodness yet I responded with disrespect! I am sorry!”
