Chapter 145. Chaotic Dinner

AFTER a week of talking to Latton, Lucian never saw her again. She stops visiting Victor and Lucius, and he has no way of contacting her. All he knew was that she stayed at York's villa.

“She’s exhausted. Well, I’m exhausted too.” Lucian said to himself while fixating on the images on his computer. “Why won’t she leave him? Is it because they are going to have a child? ” He asked himself while smiling bitterly. "Of course it is." He replied mockingly to himself.

He stood up and stared outside the floor-to-ceiling window of his office, “Is it really time for me to let her go? But how can I forget about her, if everything reminds me of her? She’s the only person whom I keep on reaching for even after all the mishaps I’ve been through. I guess I did change, the previous version of me would lock himself up and move on after a while just like what I did when Shirley left. Or simply end it like what I did to Malena. But why can’t I let go of Latton?”

Engrossed in thought
