Chapter 152. The Right Thing
AFTER seeing the footage hidden in Catherine’s phone charger, Latton felt a pit in her stomach and didn’t know what to do. She felt lost and shaken to the core, and didn’t know how to address what she saw. Instead of thinking of a plan to sabotage her father’s wedding, she spent her days locked in her room, and it worried Victor when he saw the untouched food on the trays in front of her room.
He knocked numerous times on the door and did not receive any response. When he twisted the door knob, it opened instantly. It’s only 2 in the afternoon, but her room is pitch dark. All the windows and curtains are closed. Victor blindly searches for the light switch and when he turns it on he sees her lying straight on the bed as if she was already dead.
Victor sat beside her and started caressing her face, then held her forehead to check if she had a fever, but she was a bit cold to the touch.
She soon woke up and gave out a faint smile.
