“But really, what’s your favourite. We’re still getting to know each other right?” Aria pressed.

“Let me be honest, I actually never had a favourite growing up. It’s just that this dish was easily the most available all the time so…”

“Oh,” Aria said while opening her mouth to eat from Cole’s hand.

“You see, Ironwood wasn’t exactly as beautiful as it is today when I was younger. It was a mess, always attacked and exploited.”

“You made the place what it is?” She bit her lips, impressed by the competence.

“Yes. That’s why you’d mostly hear or read that the Ironwood run by Alpha Cole was built on bloodshed. I had to battle the previous alpha to get rid of his incompetence to protect the pac…”

Aria leaned in and kissed him. It happened so fast, his heartbeat fucked up its rhythm. Her lips were exactly what he had imagined they would be; soft and gentle to touch. She sucked on his upper lip with her eyes closed, hoping he’d return the kiss and he did.
