“What did you just say?” She demanded.

“I said you didn’t look at all disgusted last night.” He repeated. “While you rode me to the clouds and back, better than you could have ever ridden that horse.”

Aria opened her mouth to speak but no words came so she shut it and swallowed, looking around to see if anyone had joined them and heard what he just said.

When she saw that there was no one, she raised her index finger at him, pointing angrily but with no words. She ended up hissing and walking away in fast strides.

Selena had just returned the horse to the stable and was on her way out when she saw Aria stomp past her, face red and probably angry. She blinked and saw Cole next, coming from the same direction Aria did.

She folded her arms and shook her head. “You’ve gone and made things worse haven’t you?”
