“But it was the only way he’d let me meet you since the day I saw you during my meeting with him.” He explained but she didn’t say anything in response.
“So you hate me because you hate him? Your father, I mean.” Cole no longer hid his saddened frown.
“Pretty much,” She exhaled sharply.
“So if you had left where would you have gone to? Where were you headed, if not home?”
Aria shrugged. “I don’t know. I didn’t think of that much. All I knew was to leave you. I just felt the urge to run away because if you had alliances with my father, you’re presumably a bad man automatically by my books.”

“Funny thing, I’ actually think I’d still rather be locked up in my little room back with my father than be with you. At least, I’m used to that. I know what to expect with life there unlike with you.”
