Meadow’s POV

My knees buckled on the spot. If Alaric wasn’t holding me firmly, I would’ve fallen to the ground. More heat pooled between my legs and I couldn’t stop myself from leaning against him—my back to his firm chest.

“Your confidence is thin, Meadow,” he continued roughly. “But it’s okay, because I’m going to remind you who you are, over and over, until your body stops flinching at the thought of being worthy.”

His fingers began to inch toward my center, sleeves rolled up, his tattooed hand flat against my stomach, and I held my breath in anticipation of what was coming.

Alaric slowly dragged his eyes to meet mine in the mirror the exact same moment his finger brushed over my clit.
