Noella’s POV

I was shocked and confused. How it was that Shepherd was here and how on earth he knew it was me behind the wheels to knock and call my attention was all too strange to me. It was all strange; it was a totally insane coincidence.

I hastily got down from the car to face Shepherd squarely, only to melt inside and feel my knees become jelly at the sight of him staring into my eyes.

“Noella, what are you doing here? I had no idea it was you behind the wheel.” His voice was lively and almost all over the place with enthusiasm, so strong that I almost smelt it.

“I was just about to ask you that exact question.” I had my arms resting on my waist to wade off my gestures from betraying the buttery feeling that tugged at my heart strings.

“Are you here with someone?” he asked and scoped into the car but Logan had already come down and settled at our side. He looked at Logan and added; “Your son, huh?”
