Noella’s POV
I just as well as strolled back to the house with Logan and Benita by my side, gisting with each other about some probably private things in very hushed tones. It was almost like they were whistling air in and out of their lungs without making a sound.
The journey back seemed more farther than it was on our way first. I thought the memories were trying to tie me down but I knew that was absurd and not likely to be the case.
But when I saw a man that looked almost like Austin, I knew for certain that it was more absurd and very unlikely. What would Austin Montero be doing at the ancestral pack house? My minds were definitely playing tricks on me.
Back at the house we were assigned to by an elder, I dug into the already cooked meal by Sara not caring to think about anything until I was done with the food, not even the fact that my monsters might be hungry. I figured tearing me up from the inside might have filled them up.
