Chapter 40
Noella’s POV
I paced around the exclusive bedroom Aragon had rented for a week or two. And it’s been almost three days with no words from Austin.
I was not comfortable, and I have not been able to recover from the trauma since that night. I regret making such a decision; leaving him behind is never a choice.
If he must die, then it should be caused by me and no one else. I sighed, still restless, from the bed to the chair, from the chair to the window, and after leaning on it for a while, I walked back to the bed. I did these in repetition. Soon, the door pulled open after a short knock. I knew, obviously, that it would be Aragon or any of the hotel patrons.
We were in the city, under the shield in Austin’s hotel, but we went in disguise.
