The ghouls were hard to kill and seeing that, Edward had no choice but to use his eternal fire. Without thinking, he set the ghouls ablaze and their horrifying screams filled the evening sky. Finally, it was an attack that affected them and soon killed them off. Sean came panting as he approached him. 

“We suffered a lot of damages,” he said.

Edward glanced at the ruined pack and sighed. “I’m sorry, Sean. I really am.”

“It’s not your fault, Edward. We all knew this day would come. It just didn’t give us time to prepare. I mean, he was trapped in a dream, wasn’t he?”

“I think Catherine contacted him there, that is the only explanation for what is happening.”
