Chapter 12. Mocking Me

Leah’s POV

One hour later, two beta guards entered Amoux’s chamber with the meal he mentioned and the medication I believe they took from my home.

When the Lycan informed me that I would have a bedroom and laboratory in the palace, it seemed like a dream. It seems like just yesterday when I envisioned them treating me fairly. Not only did they treat me with respect, but they also recognized me as the doctor.

“The Prince has instructed us to provide you with your medical supplies, while the Lycan has ordered us with anything you ask for. Just tell us what you need and we will give it to you.” The man carrying my medication pack spoke out.

Another man pushed the stroller that I was thinking where my food was.

Like the first time I ate here, I smelled cuisine that I had no idea how to prepare. My mouth seems to be oozing saliva, and my stomach is rumbling. I refrained from expressing my need for a large quantity of food.

“Care to enlighten the Lycan
