Chapter 128. What’s the Reason?

Almera stopped herself from talking about what she heard. She felt that she had lost her words; she didn’t know how to react or what she would say to Leah.

She shut her eyes to stop herself from crying, but she failed. She was hoping that Leah might be joking with her, or maybe, Leah wanted to see her reactions if she died.

“That’s not funny, Alpha Leah. You’re telling me that you’re dying. Seriously, I won’t believe that!” She sneezed when she turned her eyes to Leah.

“That’s the worst joke I’ve ever heard!” she added. She cleared her throat when her voice cracked. She wanted to know why Leah was saying that to her.

“I wish that I was fooling you, Almera. But I’m telling you the truth. Before I tell you everything, I want to test myself.”
