Chapter 9. Trapped

“What?” Leah exclaimed aggressively, her gaze fixed on his palm on her arm. She avoided looking at his face since she had no intention of seeing the pompous Amoux’s face!

He released his grip on her arm as if his skin were on fire and he burned.

Leah removed her hand furiously and resumed walking, and he did the same. As she felt him behind her back, she halted her stroll since she wanted him to be the first to walk.
