It had been three hours and I was in Alpha Paul’s house, waiting for him. His grandson was all over the place, not knowing that the pack was at war.

I mean, right now, there were no more explosions that could be heard, probably because of the order I had given the troops, but I knew that we didn’t have much time.

I had seen the look on my aunt’s face, she had been devastated. There was so much—just so much anger and pain behind her eyes.

And I won’t say I understood, but I would say that it made sense. I didn’t get to experience the hell her and the other witches had to go through.

For me, I had been born and brought over to this pack. I didn’t get to experience the trauma that they had experienced. I didn’t even know that the woman that I knew to be my mom had not even been my birth mom all this time. It was just recently I had found out.
