Chapter 14. Handsome Devil Cares

Angela is busy with work. It's a Monday, and there is an awful lot of work.

"Angela," called Adam, who was standing not far from his cubicle, causing other employees to hear.

"Yes, sir?" asked Angela, standing up from her seat.

"I don't know what wrong you have done. But the director called you to his room," Adam said, making all pairs of eyes look at Angela.

"Uh, but what is it, sir?" Angela was confused and felt uneasy by the suspicious glances from the others.

"I don't even know. Go quickly, and don't keep the director waiting," Adam shouted.

"Angel, you really didn't throw a tantrum, did you?" she asked.

Angela just shrugged and walked out of the room.

After Angela left, all the employees immediately gossiped and had prejudice against her. Because there has never been an ordinary employee who was summoned directly by the director to his office, unless he made a fatal mistake.
