Chapter 16. His Mood
Calla watched as the car pulled into Rico’s mansion driveway. The closer they got to the house, the more her heart raced. What will he do to her? He hasn’t even said a word throughout the ride.
He acted like she wasn’t seated next to him in the car.
He killed the engine, got out without saying a word, and didn’t glance back at her. She didn’t waste a second more in the car and got out too.
‘You really want to test what I’ll do to you?’ His words still rang in her ear. What did he mean by that?
Is he taking her to his house to punish her? He couldn’t do that, right?
Her legs were a bit wobbly from the two glasses of wine she had had.
