That Awkward Moment
Ian insisted on having dinner with me. I wasn’t so sure about that, considering our feelings towards each other, but a part of me knew that Ian wanted that connection now. His parents were a dark part of his life.
Ian never had a real family. My family was his real family, and I was too. I knew that if I hadn’t moved, we would still be together, we would probably be married by now.
“Do you want me to make anything?” I asked.
“We can order pizza,” Ian suggested and I shook my head.
“Nope. I had pizza for lunch.”
Ian looked surprised. “Didn’t Sean take you out?”
“Yeah. We went for pizza.”
“Nice first date,” Ian smirked.
I rolled my eyes. “At least he didn’t slash my car tires.”
