Book Eight: Chapter 166
“I thought it was hard for you to do that here,” said Sofia. “You don’t seem to be having nearly as much trouble with it now.”
“Feels easier today,” Cecilia admitted. “Now come inside before someone sees us.”
They all walked through the door before Suly closed it behind them. Looking around the large room, Sofia wondered where the first place to start should be. Opting for where she ended her tour last time, she walked into the room where the old book was being copied into the new one.
Expecting some sort of massive revelation from the book, she was disappointed to see that it was an old journal written in Spanish. The manuscript was from the late 1300s, and documented agricultural and some political upheaval in a small village.
“What the hell?” she muttered. Picking up the original she flipped through the pages, hoping that maybe there was something she had missed. While she wouldn’t go so far as to say the book wasn’t important, it seemed like a lot of work
