Chapter 15. A Sheer Torture

The next day, Jacqueline was quite excited about her outing. 

“What do I wear?” she asked, jumping up and down with excitement. 

“It depends upon the type of date you’re going to,” said Maria. 

“It’s not a date. Well! I just don’t know what it is. He told me to be ready by noon. That’s it,” said Jacqueline, flailing her arms helplessly. 

“In that case, wear semi-formal,” said Maria, and Claudia too agreed with her. 

“I have just the dress for you. C’mon,” said Claudia. Jacqueline followed her to her room, and she showed her a beautiful off-white crepe, sleeveless sheath dress with small pleats along its hemline. She paired it with small crystal earrings that dangled, catching the lights on them. She tied her hair into a casual bun but it was actually useless since it slipped out of it always.
