Vera’s POV
I didn’t want to talk about what happened earlier. Not now. Not while the memory of what I saw was still burning in my head. And I knew that if we kept talking, he would eventually ask why I came running to him, why I showed up in that state and caught him in that compromising moment.
The truth was simple: I had come to keep a promise.
Monica had succeeded in getting him aroused, and I knew he wouldn’t be able to think straight until that was taken care of. I told myself this was just a way to help him get through the remaining few days of our arrangement. Just four days. That was all.
“If you’re not in the mood… you don’t have to do this,” he said hoarsely, his hand reaching to gently stop mine.
“I said don’t touch me,” I warned, narrowing my eyes. “Unlike some people, I keep my promises.”
