"Get in. You're in the medical field, right?” he smiled and remarked, "You are extremely aware of the hazards of pneumonia, and you look like an abandoned puppy."
At that moment, he felt like a hero.
Once I was inside, he cranked up the heat.
I sighed with relief and said, "Thank you so much. I'm sorry to soak your seat, but here I am."
"I don't mind," he said as he started the car, "my house isn't far from here; we'll get you warmed up and something to wear until the rain stops."
It's a good deal. Initially, I was overwhelmed with gratitude, but then I wondered if he had rescued similar female victims in the past. Maybe I was one of the many.

"What's up?" I asked as I cupped my hands over the vents.
