He said, "Yeah," with concern in his voice and eyes.
Oh… he was talking about something else.
Or maybe he was concerned that someone was talking behind my back about me.
"I'm sorry to hear about your patient. That accident was very similar to the one your dad was in," he said, "so I can see why you've been out of it ever since."

I sighed, "I'm sorry, it's just been weird lately," and explained, "I actually thought I had a chance of saving him."
"It was a puncture to the heart," he said. "Not even the great Adam Hunt had that kind of success when he was around your age."
"Really?"
He said, "Yeah, during a TED Talk, he mentioned an experience where he couldn't save a man who also had a punctured heart," adding, "Sometimes, even the greatest people still have moments when they couldn't save
