Chapter 38
I grimaced and said, "Don't say that, Hannah."
"It's the truth, Adam," she shrugged. "Will you give me one last kiss?"
"I can't do that," I finally admitted.
"Was worth a shot," she sighed. "Now go get her."
After giving a brief nod, I left.
"Oh, and Adam?" When she called, I had to halt what I was doing. “I'm happy for you that you found true love. If you hurt her feelings, Mariam and I will have to murder you.”
I told her, "I'll avoid that at all costs," and left for Crystal's room.
I rang the doorbell and asked, "Crystal? What's up?”
Silence.
But the room's lights were on. She had switched out the lights before we left the room.
I assumed, therefore, that she was inside.
“Crystal, I need to talk to you," I stated as I pounded again.
"She doesn't lock the door," Maria
