I pushed my dish of unfinished dumplings to the side, said, "I'm full," and then ate a few more.
He groaned, "Your inability to maintain an appetite never ceases to amaze me."
I responded, "I'm trying to watch my weight."
“Do you have to do that?" With a grin, he told me, "You look beautiful no matter what."
"Thank you. You can finish your meal."
"While you watch?” His brows furrowed, "I'll feel nervous."
“Just get on with it.”
