Chapter 42

“I just arrived. The other doctors can take care of it,” I said as I got down from my bike and we both made our way inside.

"I don't think you thought about where to park it," she remarked.

I came to a halt and said, "Fuck. I left the key in the house.”

“Let the security guards handle it,” she advised.

"Good idea."

After returning the bicycle, we walked to the main door.

Catherine was waiting for us inside with a thoughtful expression as we entered.

“Is everything alright?” asked Sarah.

Catherine replied, "Not yet," as she reached for one of her lab coat pockets before pausing and asking, "Can we go to your office?"

"Sure," Sarah said in assent.

“How about you?” Catherine frowned and questioned, "What is that in your head?”

"It's called a helmet," I said as I removed it, "I ride a bike now Are you sure you want me to come?"
