It breaks my heart as I leave Crystal's house to the airport, but I know that if I want to actively get better I have to leave Virginia.

The road to the airport is free, contrary to the normal days and I make it in time for my flight. I check in and wait patiently for my flight to be announced. While I wait, I scroll through social media as I try to distract myself. I stumble on a picture of Alex and I smiling happily. It's a photo he posted a month ago and the tears threaten to fall but I hold them back.

We were so happy. I thought I had it!

I'm drawn back to reality as my flight to New York is announced. I pick up my things and get ready to leave.

Once I'm in, I know there's no turning back. I don't know how long I'm going to spend in New York, but I know I won't be back anytime soon. There are a lot of things I'm going to miss Virginia.
