Chapter 93. I’ll Do My Best
"Isn't this excessive? I’m not going to run away," Monica added, perplexed. In front of her, on the tarmac, over ten cars were lined up neatly. The number of guards, standing alert, likely exceeded thirty.
"You will find out soon enough," Earnest replied evasively, not quelling Monica's curiosity.
They entered a black Rolls Royce. Their car moved in the second row, followed by a convoy of security vehicles behind them and one in front.
Monica's heart pounded as her sense of foreboding grew stronger. She noticed the route they took was not leading to the Teodorko family's estate.
"Brother? Aren't we supposed to meet Father?" Monica asked.
"Hmm, we will see Father and Mother soon," Earnest replied nonchalantly.
