Chapter 54. Shaking

Stella was not prepared for the darkness she encountered as she walked out of the secret room in the vault.

Every ray of light the Damausir emitted was gone and the vault had gotten dark. The place was not just dark but cold. Icy cold.

Although in darkness, she could make out a figure. She knew it would be none other than Keisha. She was just about to take a step towards her when she suddenly felt power surge out of her. She had gotten suddenly weak.

She could not tell if it was the cold or if it was the dark magic in the air or if it was because the Damausir was being destroyed.

Her breath was shallow. She was losing strength.

Gathering her last strength, she trudged towards Keisha. Every step she took felt like she was literally moving the earth. Her legs were giving up. Her body was shutting down. Her mind too. Her vision was blackening out but she knew she had to get to Keisha.

It was the only way to defeat Keisha.
