“So basically, you don’t have any fun,” Eros stated.
“Not at the moment, I don’t.” Aria sighed.
“Did Asher ever apologize for how he treated you the other night?” Eros changed the question as soon as he noticed her mood change.
“For what it’s worth, he didn’t speak to me today, and I was glad about that,” Aria explained as she pulled up at her apartment.
“If I were in your shoes, I would’ve knocked him out flat.”
“You look like a mountain, Eros.” Aria chuckled. “Besides, he’d pressed charges, you’d spend a night or two in jail, you’d waste money on court proceedings, and to top it off, you’d lose your job.”
“Well worth it for me.” Eros shrugged as Aria parked the car in the garage.
“You’re wealthy, Eros. I’m not. I need every dollar I can spare for myself and my family.”
