“Are you sure you want to go to this party, Aria?” Eros asked as he adjusted his shirt.

He didn’t feel entirely comfortable about this party, and he couldn’t figure out why. Probably, it was because he hated large crowds that he wasn’t entirely sure about.

“You wanted me to become close to Asher, and this is one of the few times I’ll get the chance to see if this is ever going to work,” Aria said as she walked out of her room. “This has always been the plan, hasn’t it?”

Eros couldn’t argue about that. He always wanted Asher to become a lot more interested in Aria, and now, he was starting to take her on dates, albeit indirectly, but it still counted for something.

He hoped that this would be the start of something that they could both build on, and hopefully, Asher would serve as the distraction he and Aria desperately needed to stop whatever was building between them.
