“You need to tell us everything that just happened,” Jasmine said over the phone as she tried to console Aria, who was finding it hard to talk amidst the tears. “Crying isn’t going to help you right now. We need to talk first.”

Aria nodded and wiped her eyes with the back of her hand. Jasmine was right. Crying wasn’t going to solve her problems, nor would it change everything that had happened over the past 12 hours.

She had Jasmine and Valerie because she needed someone to talk to, and she hadn’t spoken a word yet.

“I’m trying to get my words right, but I keep failing, and it’s not looking good,” Aria said as her eyes pooled with tears.

“You don’t need to have a solid foundation, Aria. We can start talking from anywhere, and we’ll make sense of it, I promise.” Valerie replied, and Aria nodded.

If she wanted her friends to help, she had to get over this feeling and bring herself to talk.
